This particular version in liquid is great as my cat won't have tablet form
Cat is happy and som are we! After 2 weeks does a normal 'wee' and keeps it in the dirt box! Everybody happy!!!!!!
A miracle in a bottle! My cat Tess (or cystiTESS as she became nick-named) has had idopathic cystitis fot the last 8 years, I was using the powder capsules given to me by the vet (that you apply to their food) but with two cats in the house it was hard to know which cat got the medication and getting it was VERY expensive. Added to this frustration is the fact that Tess can smell any medication at 50 paces. I did some research a found this little miracle (praise be) available on Amazon, initially I tried to add it to their regular food; but no go. I was stood in the supermarket wondering which tempting food I could add this stuff to when a lovely old couple asked if I needed some advice (fate was benevolent that day), I told them my cay needed liquid medication but she wasn't taking it in her food. They then imparted one of the best nuggets of useful information I have ever been told; 'try adding it to some lick-e-lix'; Webbox lick-e-lix is a sort of yogurty, creamy sachet that you give your cats as a treat. Based on their advice I bought a pack of chicken lick-e-lix sachets (the Furinaid is roast meat flavoured so I thought chicken suited that, lick-e-lix do other flavours too), went home and gave it go; with bated breath I watched as Tess willing gobbled up all her meds (I did do a victory dance I confess). We have been using Furinaid for the last four + years and it has been totally hassle free and financially economical, Tess gets one pump & sachet twice a week and it's enough to keep the cystitis at bay. My other cat Molly is also thrilled by this because whilst Tess gets her meds and a chicken sachet she gets a salmon one (meds free). All in all we are now a happy, cystitis pee smelling free household. Hurrah!
Got this as my cat gets (or got, not had an attack for a while, touch wood!) frequent cystitis and this came recommended. However the fat feline won't entertain licking any of this up so he's on the alternative which is a light cat food and less of it to try and help him shift some weight to stop the UTIs. Looks a bit like gravy!
Cat been on this for 5 years with no repeat episodes of flutd. Was supposed to be on Cystaid/Cystease but try forcing tablets down a cat every day, soon becomes stressful. Whereas this stuff, they take it on their food no problem.
